A Naughty Nasreddin story

Advice and Consent

Mullah Nasruddin
Mullah Nasruddin

A fellow once asked Nasreddin Hoca whom he found more despicable: those people who had been married before him, or those who had married after he did.

The Hoca said, “Both are dreadful!” When asked why, he replied: “I am angry at the people who got married before me, because they badly advised me. And I am angry at those who have married after me, because they have not heeded my advice!”

Excerpted from the forthcoming Naughty Adventures of Nasreddin.
