A Matter of Speed, Not Distance

Once Nasruddin was in the teahouse when the wealthy Aslan was going on at length about his property.

“My real estate holdings are so vast,” Aslan claimed, “that it takes me almost a full day to ride on my fastest horse from one corner to the opposite border.”

“Is that so?” asked Nasruddin drily. “How unfortunate.”

“Why in the world would you say that such a thing is unfortunate?” said Aslan.

“Well, I used to have a horse that slow,” Nasruddin replied, “but I sold it.”
